Parent & carer sessions

‘Connectedness has the power to counterbalance adversity’ Dr Bruce Perry

I offer Parent and Carer sessions alongside chid sessions or as a whole family approach. You may be experiencing bereavement or living with a life limiting condition and need support through this difficult time or you may be looking to understand your child’s developmental stage and develop parenting strategies in line with this. I also work with new parents who would like to build secure attachments with their baby, they may be experiencing Post natal depression or have suffered birth trauma such as time in the NICU.

Parenting can be difficult, overwhelming and exhausting I can offer support to ensure that you feel resourced to live a more fulfilling family life.

I am a DDP informed practitioner having trained in Level 1 & 2 with Kim Golding. Dyadic Developmental psychotherapy is often used with foster carers or parents of adopted children, if you would like to know more about DDP you can find out here: DDP network
